The baked potato- tips:
- Pick a nice floury potato (Desiree, King Edward or Maris Piper)
-Prick with a fork
-cover with oil and then some salt
- Bake, on the oven rack itself, at 180, and check after 1 hour
The curried beans:
-Heat through a tin of baked beans
-Add a teaspoon of ground coriander and ground cumin, or a dessert spoon of curry powder
-finely slice a single spring onion into the beans if you have one, and chop some fresh coriander
